Zindorf Part 2

I added photos from the beginner's class with Michelle Zindorf yesterday. Today I'll add the cards we did in the advanced class. I'm so much happier with these. I think a day of practice and a night to think about techniques really helped. In addition to brayering and sponging, we did embossed resist.

Meeting Michelle Zindorf

Last weekend I had the pleasure and privilege of taking two brayering classes from Michelle Zindorf. What a fantastic experience! Michelle is such a wonderful and very talented person. I learned so much and enjoyed working (playing) with a group of great ladies.

In the beginner's class we learned the basic brayering techniques. It's amazing what one can do with a brayer, a few Adirondack ink pads, a few sponge pieces, and a couple of rubber stamps. These are my first works of art. Remember that these are my first attempts.

Starting again!

Tempus Fugit! Yes, time flies. I knew I had neglected my blog for a few months, but I had no idea that it has been over a year since I last posted. I have been busy working on art, but I just didn't post. I've decided to try again. I've done so much over the past year, but it would be impractical and almost impossible to catch up with everything here. So from time to time when I come across something that is memorable to me, I'll add an "oldie, but goodie".

One of the swaps I've participated in the last two months was a postcard swap. The cards are 4"x6" and are decorated and sent through the mail without envelope. There is something about this idea that I enjoy. Maybe it's the thought of the postal employees seeing something so out of the ordinary. These are two of the postcards I have sent.
